YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy, plainly.

This website belongs to the author writing as Julita Hanke. For questions about your information, email hello@hankehouse.com.

The music is open

You can explore the soundtrack without giving us your email address. Spotify links take you to Spotify, where its own privacy terms apply.

The embedded Spotify player is optional. It loads only after you choose “Listen here”. Your browser then connects to Spotify, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or similar technologies under its privacy policy. While the player is open, choosing another available song loads that song in the same player. Use “Close player” to remove it. We do not remember this choice after you leave or reload the page.

Letters from Julita

If you choose to subscribe, you can use our MailerLite signup form on this website or open the hosted form. It asks for your email address and an optional name so Julita Hanke can send letters about the book, its music and publication news, with occasional offers. Subscribing is optional and does not affect access to the music.

By submitting the form, you consent to these emails. MailerLite stores your email address, optional name, signup date and the form you used, and sends confirmation, welcome and later letters on our behalf. Its email service also provides opening and link-click information. Pages with the signup form load a MailerLite script, which connects your browser to MailerLite. Read MailerLite’s privacy policy for information about its service.

Leaving the list

You can withdraw your consent using the unsubscribe link in an email, or by contacting hello@hankehouse.com. We use your address for the letters until you unsubscribe or the list closes. A limited record of your opt-out may be retained to prevent further marketing emails. You can also contact us to request deletion of information that no longer needs to be kept.

Visiting this website

This site is hosted using OpenAI Sites. The hosting service processes the technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address and browser request. The site also requests its typefaces from Google Fonts. Apart from the MailerLite signup form described above, we have not added advertising pixels, visitor-identification tools or audience analytics.

Your choices

You can contact hello@hankehouse.com to ask about information held about you or request access, correction or deletion. You can also raise a data-protection concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
